Mineral Make Up

Bare minerals are minerals that are used to make cosmetics. The cosmetics made out of bare minerals have no side effects and hence can be safely used. Since these cosmetics are made of pure minerals only and contain no chemicals, they are regarded as beneficial for the skin. In fact, mineral cosmetics are not a new invention. It has been discovered that the benefits of mineral skin care was widely known and used by men and women for centuries.

Archeological evidence has proved that natural, pure minerals were used as makeup as far back as ten thousand years ago.

Mineral makeup is made up of natural organic plant sources, cosmetic grade minerals and mineral pigments. All the components used to produce these cosmetics are organic and hence our body easily recognizes them. As a result, they are easily absorbed into the body, thus giving better and long lasting result. These cosmetics can replenish, revitalize, and protect the skin. They contain natural and organic essential oils, butters and waxes, all of which are completely biodegradable and eco-friendly.

They protect us naturally from ultraviolet A and B rays. Since these cosmetics are completely natural, the chances of allergies are negligible. Cancer patients can also use these cosmetics as they have been tested and are found to be safe for use on them. Since these cosmetics are completely absorbed by the body, they do not cause skin ailments like acne and body rash.

Mineral makeup has revolutionized the cosmetic world.

It can be applied without having to fear about side effects. Though the market for bare mineral make up is still young, it is building quickly.
It is slowly but surely replacing cosmetics that contain chemicals. Mineral makeup is more costly than regular makeup but it is safer and gives better results, which is why it is growing in popularity..

Why It Pays To Listen Even When You Think They?re Nuts

My first published work became a bestseller as soon as it hit the bookshelves back in 1995 and it has been topping the lists ever since. Lucky you, some might say.

By and large the content has remained unchanged (apart from essential updating) and although ten years is a fair old run, what goes up must eventually come down.

So with that in mind I approached my publishing house with a suggestion for a commemorative 10th anniversary edition; new chapters, new cover, new cosmetics, new typesetting.

They loved the idea but balked at producing a new edition per se.

"Why?" I said, "It will start the ball rolling all over again."

"No it won't," they said, "It will kill the golden goose."

And so instead the publisher opted for a reprint dressed up as a new edition: new imprint, new chapters, new cosmetics, new typesetting ? but no new cover; only a subtle color change to preserve continuity.

An End to Animal Cruelty...All Things Are Possible With PETA

I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I was when Carla Bennett of PETA agreed to do an e-mail interview with me! PETA's headquarters are located in Norfolk, Virginia and they have offices in several other major cities and countries. PETA was incorporated in 1980 and made national headlines about one year later with the first-ever conviction of an animal experimenter for cruelty to animals, specifically cruelty to monkeys. (What animal would hurt a monkey?!) PETA then began a series of successful campaigns that ended car manufacturers' use of animals in crash tests, brought about a mainstream rejection of fur, and caused nearly 600 cosmetics companies to eliminate product-testing on animals, among other successful PETA endeavors in the fight to give animals a genuine voice. When I asked Carla what law regarding animals she would most like to see changed, she expressed that she would like factory farms to be abolished and an overall public change toward vegetarianism. (Great answer.....
